Ty Snell steps into the spotlight with Duncanville, DeSoto and Southlake Carroll waiting in September.
Allen has the schedule to make a fast climb from No. 36, and the quarterback to make that possible.
Ty Snell, a Class of 2029 quarterback, takes over after working in relief as a freshman. The Eagles pair him with returning playmakers Josyah Johnson, Trey Roberson and Lyndon Spriggs. That gives Allen a real offensive base before the schedule starts asking difficult questions.
Duncanville, DeSoto, Southlake Carroll and Prosper come in four consecutive weeks. There is no soft landing here. If Allen finds its footing early, it will have earned it against the best part of its calendar.

The 2026 Case
Snell saw significant time in 2025, throwing for 1,030 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He is young, but he is not walking into his first varsity snap in Week 1.
Johnson is the most proven receiving piece. The Class of 2028 wideout posted 64 catches for 807 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore. Roberson, a Wisconsin commit, gives the Eagles an established senior presence in the secondary. Spriggs, another Class of 2027 returner, was a first-team all-district running back.
Allen does have work to do on defense. The Eagles must replace six three-year starters from a unit that allowed 11.4 points per game in 2025. That is why the opening month matters beyond the record: it will show how quickly the new pieces can operate under real pressure.
