Each ranking release includes its season, publication date, release type, ranking entries, movement context, and methodology notes. Rankings are editorial evaluations, not a strict mathematical formula.
Ranking Factors
Ranking decisions may consider a range of football and program context, including:
- On-field results
- Strength of schedule
- Quality wins and losses
- Head-to-head results
- Returning production
- Roster talent
- Classification and playoff structure
- Recent program performance
Eligibility Standard
T25PS rankings are built around public-school football programs. The eligibility standard is:
- Rankings focus on public high schools.
- Tuition-based schools are treated as non-public.
- Tuition-free public charter schools may be eligible.
- Boarding schools are excluded.
