2026 Public Schools Top 100 Preview: No. 49 Saraland

Saraland has one of the clearest offensive starting points in the Alabama portion of the 2026 Top 100. Quarterback Jamison Roberts returns for his senior season as a 2027 prospect committed to Oklahoma, but the Spartans will have to fill the production that graduated from last years state championship appearance.

Roberts is the headline, but Saraland also has current names across the skill group and defense. Sye Byrd, Eddie Turner, Chris Cunningham, Keoni Snipes, Ricky Strong, and Jakari Harris give Jeff Kelly a real group to build around.

2026 Outlook

Roberts gives Saraland a settled answer at the most important position. He threw for 3,370 yards and 37 touchdowns and rushed for 641 yards and 21 touchdowns last fall, giving the Spartans returning production at quarterback.

The 2026 schedule gives Saraland a chance to build through region play, with Gulf Shores, Theodore, Baldwin County, Elberta, Murphy and Blount on the slate. Spanish Fort and Auburn add more pressure in the back half of the regular season.
