Week 5 starts Thursday with 10 ranked public-school teams spread across nine games in five states. The main event is clear.
#4 Allen travels to #51 Prosper for the night’s only Top 100 head-to-head. Both teams are 3-0. Both are Eagles. Both arrive with enough early-season evidence to make this more than a familiar Texas district game.
Allen has already beaten three teams in the current Top 100. Prosper has scored at least 49 points in every game. One team has built the stronger national résumé; the other gets a direct opportunity to change the conversation.
#4 Allen at #51 Prosper — 8 ET / 7 CT
Allen has produced the strongest three-game opening stretch of any team in the country.
The Eagles beat #53 Duncanville 26-7, overwhelmed #52 DeSoto 50-6 and then won 56-35 at #74 Southlake Carroll. That is three victories over current Top 100 teams, with an average margin of 28 points. It is why Allen climbed to #4 in the Week 4 ranking.
Prosper’s case looks different, but its offense has been impossible to ignore. The Eagles won 56-37 at Rockwall, survived a 50-43 trip to North Forney and beat #91 Austin Westlake 49-40 last week. Prosper is averaging 51.7 points and has moved from #72 in the preseason ranking to #51.
The matchup question is straightforward: can Prosper turn the game into another track meet, or can Allen make its fourth strong opponent play on Allen’s terms?
Allen allowed only 13 combined points against Duncanville and DeSoto before Southlake Carroll scored 35 last week. Prosper has answered every challenge with offense, but this is its first game against a team currently ranked inside the national top 50.

#38 Cass Tech vs. Mumford — 5 ET
Cass Tech gets the first opportunity to put a result on Thursday’s board.
The Technicians are 3-0 after a 48-21 road win at Grandville and two shutouts. They have outscored their opponents 156-21, a combination of production and control that moved them five places to #38 this week.
Mumford gives Cass Tech another Detroit test. For the Technicians, the ranking question is less about creating a dramatic statement and more about sustaining the complete form that built their unbeaten start.
#76 Miami Carol City vs. Edison — 7 ET
Miami Carol City’s official 1-2 record requires context.
The Chiefs own a 43-0 win over Miami Norland and played #20 Lee County to a three-point game. A forfeit adjustment changed the official record, but it did not erase what Carol City showed on the field in those two matchups.
Thursday is an opportunity to add a clean result to a résumé that already contains a high ceiling and an unusual administrative complication.
The 8 ET Window
Five additional ranked teams join Allen and Prosper in the largest window of the night.
#34 Oakland vs. Siegel: Oakland is 3-1 with road wins by 49 and 30 points. The Patriots also needed a 29-28 escape at Pearl-Cohn, so Thursday is another test of whether their dominant form can become their consistent form.
#42 Richmond Randle vs. Victoria East: Randle’s defense has allowed 14 points through two games. A 20-14 win over #90 South Oak Cliff and a 3-0 shutout of Westfield give the Lions one of Thursday’s strongest defensive profiles.
#67 Lake Travis vs. Cornerstone Christian: Lake Travis enters 1-0-1 after a 38-21 road win at Weiss and a weather-shortened 28-28 tie with Steele. The Cavaliers need a complete game after an unusual start that has produced both a convincing win and an unresolved feeling.
#74 Southlake Carroll at Keller Central: Southlake Carroll is 1-2, but every game has come against a current Top 100 opponent. The Dragons beat #75 Jenks 34-33 before losses to #5 North Crowley and #4 Allen. Thursday begins the part of the schedule in which Carroll must turn that demanding opening stretch into wins.
#89 Ridge Point vs. Strake Jesuit: Ridge Point entered the ranking this week at 3-0. The Panthers have beaten Dickinson, Shadow Creek and Bridgeland, scored at least 28 points in every game and produced two 21-point victories. This is their first game as a ranked team.
#86 Central East vs. Liberty — 10 ET / 7 PT
Central East closes the ranked portion of Thursday’s schedule in California.
The Bengals are 3-0 with a 20-14 road win at Oak Ridge, plus two victories by 30 and 49 points. That résumé has both a competitive road result and clear dominance. Liberty gives Central East another chance to reinforce the balance that has kept it at #86.
What Thursday Can Change
Allen–Prosper has the clearest ranking pressure because both teams already own undefeated Top 100 résumés. The other eight games are different. They are about avoiding a damaging result, strengthening a developing case or showing that an early ranking reflects repeatable form.
