Minnesota’s Top 5 Public HS Football Programs (2021–2025)
Public Schools Top 25 | National Series — Part 23/50 Ranking Minnesota proved to be one of the more challenging states in the series. Under the Minnesota State High School League system, the state crowns champions in seven classifications — 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, and 9-Player — with all titles decided annually at the Prep Bowl. Class 6A includes only the 32 largest schools, while the remaining programs are divided by enrollment through 5A down to 1A (~48 per class), with the smallest schools competing in 9-Player football.
