T25PS Prediction

Prediction: 9-1. The opener and the Pine-Richland game are major early tests, and the league schedule always takes a toll. Avon will still be in position to matter when November starts.

Playoffs: State semifinals. The Eagles have earned the benefit of the doubt, but repeating again means a new core has to prove it can handle the same moment. Added with what I mentioned in my previous article about Massillon, the classification is about as good as it gets, so it will be extremely difficult to three-peat.

Conclusion

Avon has the hardest kind of job in high school football: replacing a title group while defending two championships at once. The September schedule should show quickly whether Elder has found the next version of the Eagles.
