Ohio Playoff Preview: #21 Massillon Washington (OH) and #82 Big Walnut (OH) Get Their Turn

The byes are over. Massillon brings a defense that just shut out its biggest rival. Big Walnut brings an unbeaten record and a running back who can turn a handful of touches into a long night.
Now each has an opponent with a playoff win behind it. #21 Massillon Washington (OH) hosts Columbus St. Francis DeSales, while #82 Big Walnut (OH) hosts Louisville. Both Division II, Region 7 quarterfinals kick off Friday, November 6, at 7 p.m. ET.
The OHSAA bracket puts the winners together November 13. Getting there is this week's job.

Thursday also brought a legal development for Massillon. The Ohio Supreme Court dismissed OHSAA’s prohibition action and denied its emergency-stay request as moot, leaving the Fifth District’s injunction allowing Brayton and Brydon Feister to play in place. The decision addressed the jurisdictional challenge, not the merits of the underlying transfer dispute.
Massillon's 31–0 win over Canton McKinley on October 24 started with the basics: 233 rushing yards gained, minus-21 allowed. McKinley reached the 2-yard line early and came away empty. The Tigers answered with a touchdown drive that covered more than 99 yards.
