Johnny Hamilton

Hamilton is committed to UTEP after also earning offers from Arkansas State, Nicholls, Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern.

Jaden Hurndon, Class of 2028

Hurndon holds offers from SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Oregon and Texas Tech. He is the younger recruit who can raise Longview's ceiling.

Jacaiden Davis

Davis is part of the current returning group and gives the Lobos another known contributor around Hamilton and Hurndon.

Anthony Huffman

Biggest Question

Can Longview's current talent restore the physical consistency that usually defines John King's teams?

Hamilton and Hurndon can create important plays, but the rebound depends on the whole group. The Lobos need to control early downs, avoid chasing games and make their depth visible late. If that happens, last year's 7-5 record will look like an interruption rather than a trend.

Bottom Line

I expect Longview to be better. The roster has a committed senior leader, a nationally recruited younger player and enough returning depth to change the weekly floor. The Lobos still have to prove it, but the path back to a long playoff run is present.
