Dunbar returns the quarterback and leading receiver from a 7-4 playoff team, then adds a Jacksonville State commit to the passing game. The Fighting Tigers have eight starters back on each side and enough experienced skill talent to make a move in Class 4A, District 11.
Team Snapshot
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Classification: Class 4A, District 11
Head Coach: Sam Brown
2025 Record: 7-4
2025 Finish: First round of the Class 4A playoffs
Returning Starters: Eight on offense, eight on defense
Dunbar's 2025 season ended with a 48-21 road loss to Port Charlotte in the opening round. The result exposed the gap the Fighting Tigers must close in the district, but it also gave a young roster the experience its coaches wanted before this season.
2026 Outlook
Senior quarterback Brandon Seabrook returns after completing 104 of 184 passes for 1,848 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. He now has proven options on both sides of the formation. Senior Andre Moss caught 35 passes for 815 yards and 13 touchdowns, while senior Frederick Jackson Jr. arrives after producing 605 receiving yards and seven touchdowns at Fort Myers.
Jackson is committed to Jacksonville State, giving Dunbar a Division I recruit and another receiver capable of changing field position in one play. Moss remains central to the offense regardless of recruiting labels. His production and existing connection with Seabrook make him one of the most important players on the roster.

Senior athlete Eddie Gore Jr. adds balance after averaging 42.7 rushing yards per game and scoring seven total touchdowns. The defense also returns senior cornerback Emmanuel James Jr., defensive back Justin Jean and defensive linemen Ta'rajah Denson and Sandler Pierre.
The schedule creates an immediate measurement. Dunbar visits Port Charlotte on September 11, plays rival Fort Myers two weeks later and faces South Fort Myers on October 16. The offense should be more explosive, but the district race will be decided by whether the Fighting Tigers are cleaner in the games that shaped last season.
Players to Know
Brandon Seabrook, QB, Senior
Seabrook threw for 1,848 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2025. With his leading target back and another proven receiver joining the roster, he has the personnel to improve both his efficiency and Dunbar's scoring ceiling.
Andre Moss, WR, Senior
Moss led Dunbar with 815 receiving yards and 13 touchdown catches. He is the established connection in the passing game and cannot be reduced to an unconfirmed offer list.
Frederick Jackson Jr., WR, Senior
Jackson joins Dunbar after catching 37 passes for 605 yards and seven touchdowns at Fort Myers. The Jacksonville State commit gives the offense a second proven perimeter threat.
Tihiem Hutchins, WR, Sophomore
Hutchins caught 17 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman, then added a rushing score. The Class of 2029 receiver earned a Miami offer after a June camp and gives Dunbar another Division I-recruited option in an already deep position group.
Eddie Gore Jr., ATH, Senior
Gore averaged 42.7 rushing yards per game and scored seven total touchdowns. His versatility gives Dunbar a changeup when defenses devote extra attention to the receivers.
Emmanuel James Jr., CB, Senior
James is one of the coach-identified returners on a defense bringing back eight starters. His experience at corner becomes especially valuable against the passing attacks on the district schedule.
Justin Jean, DB
Jean is another returning defensive back specifically identified by the coaching staff. He adds continuity behind a front that also returns veteran linemen.
Ta'rajah Denson, DL, Senior
Denson returns in the defensive line and will be part of the group responsible for preventing Port Charlotte and South Fort Myers from controlling the district games on the ground.
Sandler Pierre, DL, Senior
Pierre gives Dunbar a second coach-identified senior in the defensive front. His presence helps keep the defense from relying only on its offensive firepower.
Newcomers
The running backs Rashad Matthews and Kwanell Bedward, defensive back Brylan Jennings and defensive tackle TY Fletcher as newcomers to watch. Each expands a position group that will matter over a full 10-game regular season.

Biggest Question
Can the deeper passing game change Dunbar's results against the district's best teams?
Seabrook, Moss and Jackson give Dunbar more than enough production to pressure every opponent. The next step is converting that talent into efficient drives against Port Charlotte and South Fort Myers, the two games most likely to define the district race.

I have Dunbar finishing 9-1 and returning to the Class 4A playoffs and winning a game or two. Seabrook, Moss and Jackson should make the passing game difficult to defend, but Port Charlotte and South Fort Myers remain the two most important tests in the district race.
