Friday's Great Lakes and Midwest slate brings an unbeaten Detroit matchup, an international rematch in Ohio and another meeting of the 2025 Indiana 6A finalists, both now 5-0. Rankings come from the 2026 Week 5 Top 100; follow all three games on the Friday scoreboard.
King (MI) (4-0) at #37 Cass Tech (MI) (4-0)
Friday | 5 p.m. ET | Cass Technical High School, Detroit
King and Cass Tech reach this Detroit rivalry at 4-0. King survived Orchard Lake St. Mary's (MI) 44-42 in overtime, then followed with two lopsided wins. Darryl Flemister helped finish the St. Mary's game at quarterback, while Marion Stewart gives the Crusaders another backfield option. That matters here: King has shown it can finish a tight game without losing the quick-strike element that can change the next drive.
Cass Tech has posted three shutouts and allowed 21 points. Donald Tabron II gives the Technicians an experienced quarterback, and Julian Taylor has supplied the leading rushing production. Tabron's command makes it harder to sell out against Taylor. The T25PS preseason look centered on that returning quarterback and a young roster that had to grow quickly.
King cannot feed that defense short fields. The question Friday: Can King's explosive offense create enough space against a Cass Tech defense that has erased three of its first four opponents?

Football North (Canada) (3-1) at #14 Massillon Washington (OH) (5-0)
Friday | 7 p.m. ET | Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, Massillon
Football North beat Massillon 34-2 last year. Both have faced Glenville (OH) this season: Football North lost 37-21, while Massillon won 31-18. The common opponent is a useful reference, not a forecast.
Massillon is 5-0 after beating St. Edward (OH) 23-21. Gary Yeager carried 16 times for 232 yards and two touchdowns in that win, and Ohio State commit Deontay Malone remains a major piece in the secondary.
Football North is 3-1 and still run-first. Brandon Bailey directs the offense, and Peyton Mansfield leads the backfield. Football North's best route is to control possession and keep Yeager from stacking explosive runs. The question Friday is simple: How different is this Massillon team from the one Football North handled last fall?
#61 Westfield (IN) (5-0) at #7 Brownsburg (IN) (5-0)
Friday | 7 p.m. ET | BHS Football Field, Brownsburg
Brownsburg beat Westfield 38-31 in the 2025 Indiana 6A championship game. Ten months later, both are 5-0. Brownsburg has outscored its opponents 225-57; Westfield's margin is 204-76. This is the highest-ranked Midwest game on the T25PS slate and the clear centerpiece of the region.
Brownsburg quarterback Oscar Frye is averaging about 207 passing yards per game in the available totals. Branden Sharpe, the program's career receiving leader, stretches the field, while Brady Lewis has led the rushing production. Frye can attack outside or over the middle, while Lewis makes lighter boxes costly. That balance lets the Bulldogs change the pressure point instead of asking one matchup to carry the offense.
Westfield has its own balance. Cooper Melvin is averaging about 200 passing yards per game, Elliott Clevenger leads the ground game and Andrew Noble is the top receiving target. If Clevenger keeps the chains moving, Melvin can throw from manageable downs and Noble gets more room. The Shamrocks can control down and distance, but they cannot give Brownsburg extra possessions or let one explosive pass turn into a run of points.
Last year's title game supplies the history, not the answer. Friday comes down to whether Westfield can contain Brownsburg's explosive passing game while still playing with the offensive balance that carried it to 5-0.
