Brownsburg will play a nine-game regular season featuring an out-of-state opponent and the usual Hoosier Crossroads Conference challenges. August 21 — at Lawrence North August 28 — vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (Georgia) September 4 — at Franklin Central September 11 — vs. Avon September 18 — at Fishers September 25 — vs. Westfield October 2 — at Zionsville October 9 — vs. Noblesville October 16 — at Hamilton Southeastern The season begins at Lawrence North, which finished 7-3 and ranked among Indiana’s top public-school teams in 2025. One week later, Brownsburg welcomes Rabun Gap-Nacoochee to Indiana. The Georgia boarding-school program regularly competes against nationally recognized opponents and will give the Bulldogs an early opportunity to strengthen their national résumé. The September 25 home game against Westfield is the most anticipated conference matchup. Brownsburg has defeated the Shamrocks in each of the past two Class 6A championship games, but both contests were decided by one score. The Bulldogs won their 2024 championship matchup 22-17 before surviving a far more explosive 38-31 game last season. Westfield will once again be one of the strongest threats to Brownsburg’s conference and state-title hopes. Road games against Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern provide additional tests inside one of Indiana’s deepest conferences.
Oscar Frye — QB, Senior Frye enters his third season as Brownsburg’s starting quarterback after leading the Bulldogs to consecutive Class 6A championships. He completed 166 of 275 passes for 2,505 yards, 29 touchdowns and only two interceptions in 2025. He added another strong performance in the championship game, completing seven passes for 178 yards while helping Brownsburg score 38 points against Westfield. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback is committed to Illinois State. Frye’s experience, decision-making and connection with Sharpe give Brownsburg an advantage over nearly every other contender in Indiana. He has already proven he can lead a championship offense. His final challenge is attempting to finish his career with three consecutive titles. Branden Sharpe — WR, Senior Sharpe is one of the most productive returning receivers in the Midwest. He caught 59 passes for 1,143 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior, averaging more than 19 yards per reception. It was his second consecutive 1,000-yard season, bringing his two-year production to more than 2,300 receiving yards. Sharpe delivered his biggest performance on the biggest stage. He caught four passes for 151 yards and a touchdown against Westfield in the 2025 championship game, returned a kickoff 99 yards for another score and completed a pass on a two-point conversion. The Indiana commit gives Frye a proven downfield target who can change a game as a receiver or return specialist. Nick Vecrumba — OT, Senior Vecrumba anchors the offensive line after committing to Kansas in May. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound tackle has the size and experience to protect Frye and lead a group that will be important to maintaining offensive balance. Brownsburg’s passing game receives much of the attention because of Frye and Sharpe, but the Bulldogs’ ability to run the ball and control the line of scrimmage has been central to both championship runs. Vecrumba will be responsible for helping that continue as the offense replaces additional senior linemen and backfield production. Dami Sowunmi — DL, Senior Sowunmi is the centerpiece of Brownsburg’s defensive front. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Missouri commit recorded 35 tackles, five sacks and a fumble recovery during his junior season. His ability to play both along the edge and inside gives the Bulldogs flexibility in how they create pressure. With several defensive contributors gone from the championship team, Sowunmi will be expected to become one of the unit’s primary leaders. Chancelor Adams — DB, Senior Adams gives Brownsburg another Power Four-level player on defense. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound defensive back is committed to Bowling Green and provides length and experience in the secondary. His presence becomes especially important against a schedule featuring several teams capable of challenging Brownsburg through the air. Jaxson Pierson — CB, Senior Pierson is another returning defensive back expected to play an important role in the secondary. With Sowunmi leading the defensive front and Adams and Pierson on the back end, Brownsburg returns experienced players at each level of the defense.
