#30 Raines (FL) Beats #10 Venice (FL) to Lead T25PS Week 7 Friday Recap
#30 Raines (FL) tops #10 Venice (FL), Parkview (GA) ends #40 Brookwood (GA)’s unbeaten start, and Karr and Grimsley survive tight finishes.

Three blocked field goals helped Raines (FL) hold off Venice (FL) after the Indians cut a 17-point deficit to three. The Vikings finished with a 20–17 victory Friday, while Parkview (GA) handed #40 Brookwood (GA) its first loss and several other games came down to one possession.
#1 Thomas County Central (GA), #2 Thompson (AL) and #7 Brownsburg (IN) won comfortably. #24 Edna Karr (LA) needed a fourth-quarter interception return for the lead, and #19 Grimsley (NC) needed overtime in Virginia.

Raines blocks Venice’s comeback
#30 Raines (FL) built a 20–3 lead over #10 Venice (FL), then protected a three-point advantage when the Indians rallied. The Vikings blocked three field goals, including a potential tying attempt with fewer than five minutes remaining.
Curtis Asberry scored twice on the ground for Raines, and quarterback Sa’Mon Ellison-Morgan added a rushing touchdown. Asberry’s second score pushed the lead to 20–3.
Ira Dale Jr. carried 23 times for 127 yards and a touchdown for Venice. Mason Polley also connected with Mike Blakley for a scoring pass during the second-half rally. Raines improved to 6–0 in the matchup of unbeaten teams; Venice fell to 6–1.
Parkview ends Brookwood’s unbeaten start
Parkview (GA) won 34–24 at #40 Brookwood (GA), moving to 5–2 and dropping the Broncos to 6–1. Brookwood entered with wins over Mill Creek (GA) and Marist (GA), but the Panthers left with a ten-point road victory.
