T25PS Week 8 Top 100: Brookwood Jumps 25 Places, Kapolei Enters

Brookwood answered its first loss with a 50–24 road win over previously unbeaten North Gwinnett and climbed 25 places to #35 in the T25PS Week 8 national public-school Top 100. The Broncos are 7–1, while North Gwinnett falls from #20 to #49 at 6–1.

Thomas County Central remains #1 after beating Houston County 43–3. Thompson, Carrollton, Allen and North Crowley complete an unchanged top five. Kapolei, Rancocas Valley Regional and Twin Valley join the Top 100.

Brookwood rebounds at North Gwinnett

The Broncos had fallen to #60 after Parkview won 34–24 on their field. One week later, they scored 50 against a North Gwinnett team that entered 6–0.

Brookwood’s earlier wins include Mill Creek 36–8, Marist 27–21 and Norcross 57–23. North Gwinnett remains ranked after earlier victories over Grayson, Walton and Mill Creek.

North Crowley wins the top-10 matchup

North Crowley stayed #5 after winning 42–17 at Waxahachie, which entered the game ranked #10. The Panthers are 6–0; Waxahachie drops to #21 at 5–1.

Massillon Washington also took its first loss, falling 35–21 to Cornerstone Christian of San Antonio. Massillon moves from #11 to #22 at 7–1, with earlier wins over St. Edward and Glenville keeping it in the top 25.

Three teams enter

Kapolei debuts at #87 after beating previously 8–0 Mililani 25–7. The Hurricanes are 7–1 with four straight wins, including a 20–14 victory over Kahuku the previous week. They also beat Waipahu 50–15; their only loss was 17–14 at Campbell. Mililani falls from #65 to #88 at 8–1.

Rancocas Valley Regional enters at #92 following a 42–0 win over Eastern Regional. The 7–0 Red Devils have five shutouts and road wins over Kingsway, Cherokee and Millville.

Twin Valley joins at #99 after winning 34–17 at previously unbeaten Solanco. The 7–0 Raiders have also won 42–14 at Wyomissing and 39–0 at Manheim Central.

Lake Oswego and Armwood move up

Lake Oswego rises seven places to #48 after winning 21–7 at West Linn. The unbeaten Lakers have also beaten Central Catholic and Sherwood.

Armwood climbs three places to #39 after a 14–7 road victory over previously 7–0 Tampa Bay Tech. The Hawks are 6–1.

Close finishes

North Shore remains #9 after edging Summer Creek 28–27 on the road. Summer Creek entered 4–2, and the Mustangs’ earlier victories over Atascocita, South Oak Cliff and John Curtis remain part of their unbeaten resume.

Mission Viejo slips five places to #33 after surviving Yorba Linda 27–26. Yorba Linda had lost 28–0 to San Clemente the previous week.

Quince Orchard remains #44 after a 9–0 road shutout of previously unbeaten Sherwood. Longview moves to #64 after winning 56–49 at Rockwall, while Carthage is #57 following a 62–35 win over Pittsburg.

Three teams leave

Denton Guyer, West Linn and Cleveland drop out. Guyer lost 42–7 to Lewisville and is 4–2. West Linn is also 4–2 after the Lake Oswego loss, its second defeat in three games. Cleveland took its first loss, 34–20 at Garner, and is 6–1.

Creekside and Raines remain 5–1 and 6–0, respectively, after postponements. Monday games are outside this release’s results cutoff.
