As of July 22, Central has eight games publicly listed. That should be treated as the currently published schedule, not confirmation that the regular season is complete. - Aug. 21: at Orange Lutheran (Calif.) - Sept. 3: St. Brendan - Sept. 11: at Buford (Ga.) - Sept. 19: Miami Jackson - Sept. 25: Miami Northwestern - Oct. 2: at Miami Springs - Oct. 8: Key West - Oct. 16: GMAC game - Opponent and site to be determined - Oct. 22: North Miami Beach - Oct. 30: at Miami Carol City The two interstate games will tell us plenty. Orange Lutheran brings the Rockets across the country one week after the opener. Three weeks later, Central goes to Georgia to face Buford, one of the country's most established programs. Those games will test the rebuilt offensive line before the postseason. They will also show whether Central's new backfield can travel and execute against elite competition.
James Perrone, QB, 2027 The East Carolina commit threw for 3,231 yards and 33 touchdowns at Southridge last season. He added 636 rushing yards and nine scores while throwing just five interceptions. Central needed an answer at quarterback and found one with real production. Nino Joseph, RB, 2027 Joseph arrives after rushing for 1,955 yards and 23 touchdowns at Lely. He gives Central a back capable of carrying a large workload and turning the passing game into an even bigger problem for defenses. T'ari Miller, CB, 2027 The Missouri commit is one of the leaders of a deep secondary. Central will ask him to match up with top receivers and help steady a defense that will see very different offensive styles throughout the season. Quartavius Lyons, DB, 2027 Lyons moved from the 2028 class into 2027 and immediately became one of the more intriguing defensive backs on the roster. His versatility gives Central options with its coverages and matchups. Steven Moore, LB, 2027 Moore can affect both the run and the passing game. His production across the last two seasons includes six tackles for loss and three interceptions. Quinton Rolle Jr., CB, 2028 Rolle is one of the younger names to know in Central's secondary. He adds another talented cover player to a position group that should remain one of the team's strengths.
