Those contrasting finishes frame the Pacific window, after Millard South (NE) and Jenks (OK) face opponents with recent wins of their own. All four games offer a look at how ranked teams respond when the previous week has exposed something to improve.

#54 Millard South (NE) (5–0) at Millard West (NE) (3–2)

Friday, 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET · Omaha, Nebraska

Trae Taylor accounted for seven touchdowns as Millard South (NE) escaped Omaha North (NE) 49–47. The offense has proved it can carry a game; the defense now needs a better response. Millard West (NE) beat North Platte (NE) 31–7, scoring all 24 second-half points as quarterback Colton Williams threw touchdowns to Parker Urbanski and Zaylen Rachow. Limiting Taylor’s opportunities while sustaining its own possessions gives the host a practical route into this matchup.

Owasso (OK) (2–2) at #71 Jenks (OK) (2–2)

Friday, 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET · Jenks, Oklahoma

The identical records conceal different routes. Jenks (OK) beat Union (OK) 49–31 after competitive losses to Southlake Carroll (TX) and Bixby (OK). Owasso (OK) has steadied itself with wins over Sand Springs (OK) and Stillwater (OK), leaning on Jason Mojica in the running game against Stillwater (OK). Jenks (OK) quarterback Landon Kizzar now faces an Owasso (OK) defense that allowed six points last week. Owasso (OK)’s running game can make it harder for Kizzar to sustain another productive night.

#90 West Linn (OR) (3–1) at Tualatin (OR) (4–0)

Friday, 7:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET · Tualatin High School, Oregon

West Linn (OR) lost 36–35 when Nelson (OR) converted a two-point try with seven seconds left. Quarterback Sloan Baker had accounted for five touchdowns, two passing and three rushing, but the result leaves the Lions near the Top 100 cut line. The next assignment is an unbeaten Three Rivers opponent coming off an open week.

Tualatin (OR)’s latest game was a 43–0 win over Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy (OR) on September 18. Lincoln Keeney threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns, while Iden Rule ran for 164 yards and two scores. Baker’s mobility creates a specific containment problem for the Timberwolves; West Linn (OR) needs to finish a close game after letting one escape.

#13 Folsom (CA) (5–0) at Granite Bay (CA) (3–1)

Friday, 7:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET · Granite Bay High School, California

Folsom (CA) survived Rocklin (CA) 29–23 in double overtime, with E.J. Coleman’s interception preserving the win. Brody Rudnicki ran for Folsom (CA)’s winning touchdown in the second overtime.

Granite Bay (CA) is trying to restore its offense after a 35–0 loss to Jesuit (CA). Gabe Smyth had 58 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards in that game. Granite Bay (CA)’s first task is to turn Smyth’s touches into sustained drives after last week’s shutout. Longer possessions would also help Granite Bay (CA) keep its defense from repeatedly returning to the field. Folsom (CA)’s close call gives the Bulldogs a reason to seek an earlier separation this week.
