Thompson (AL) returns to the opponent that beat it last season, while Brownsburg (IN) takes its unbeaten record to a Zionsville (IN) team with three straight wins. Between those two centerpiece games, #1 Thomas County Central (GA) hosts Veterans (GA), Lee County (GA) tries to recover at unbeaten Coffee (GA), and Edna Karr (LA) meets Brother Martin (LA) on a neutral field.
All games are Friday, October 2, 2026. Rankings are from the September 28 T25PS Top 100. Follow kickoff updates and results on the Week 7 Scoreboard.
#2 Thompson (AL) (5–0) at Hoover (AL) (3–3)
Friday, 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET · Hoover, Alabama
Hoover (AL) won this meeting 33–30 last season, enough context to look beyond the difference in records. The Buccaneers just lost 20–17 to Knoxville Catholic (TN) on the final play; penalties helped undo chances to close that game. Thompson (AL) returns from an open week after beating Tuscaloosa County (AL) 62–7.
In that September 18 win, Trent Seaborn threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns, including two scores to Darion Moseley and one to Dedrick Kimbrough. Hoover (AL) quarterback Kaleb Freeman ran for a touchdown last week, and Jordan Williams added another from the Wildcat. The Buccaneers need those possessions to end in points while limiting the penalties that proved costly against Knoxville Catholic (TN).

Veterans (GA) (4–1) at #1 Thomas County Central (GA) (5–0)
Friday, 7:30 PM ET · Thomasville, Georgia
#1 Thomas County Central (GA) returns after a 49–26 win over Lee County (GA) in which Aidan McPherson accounted for seven touchdowns, six rushing. Veterans (GA) arrives with a more useful credential than underdog status: it erased a 21–3 third-quarter deficit to beat Northside Warner Robins (GA) 24–21. Running back Davareon Lightning supplied the go-ahead touchdown. Veterans (GA) must account for McPherson as a runner without leaving easy throws behind its front. Its offense needs to contribute earlier, rather than asking another second-half comeback to overcome that scoring pace.
#34 Lee County (GA) (4–1) at Coffee (GA) (5–0)
Friday, 7:30 PM ET · Coffee, Douglas, Georgia
Lee County (GA) gets no soft landing after its first loss. Coffee (GA) beat Tift County (GA) 35–14 with Xavien Littleton, quarterback Tyler Dowling and Bobby Reynolds all scoring on the ground. Lee County (GA)’s response against the run is the central question after Thomas County Central (GA)’s seven-touchdown night. Lee County (GA) running back Jordan Bush scored three times in that loss, giving the visitors a way to answer rather than merely absorb pressure.
#24 Edna Karr (LA) (4–0) vs. Brother Martin (LA) (4–0)
Friday, 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET · Strawberry Stadium, Hammond, Louisiana · Neutral site
Karr (LA) beat Holy Cross (LA) 31–0 with a quarterback rotation, two Jermond Macklin rushing touchdowns and an opening-kickoff return for a score by Ky’mani Henry. Brother Martin (LA) just edged Jesuit (LA) 24–22 as Hudson Fields threw a touchdown to Easton Royal, who also contributed from the backfield late in the game. Karr (LA) already owns a 21–14 win over Ruston (LA). An unbeaten district opponent provides another chance to strengthen its Top 25 résumé.
#7 Brownsburg (IN) (6–0) at Zionsville (IN) (5–1)
Friday, 7:00 PM ET · Zionsville High School, Indiana
Brownsburg (IN) turned a 14–14 halftime tie into a 38–14 win over Westfield (IN). Parker Condon ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns, while Oscar Frye threw for 165 yards and two scores. Zionsville (IN) must handle that balance without allowing the Bulldogs to take control of the second half again.
The Eagles have won three straight since a 42–7 loss at Westfield (IN). Their 30–14 victory at Hamilton Southeastern (IN) included a late fourth-down stop and a closing touchdown drive. Quarterback Finn Giles connected with Theo Schott for a 45-yard touchdown, and Spencer Choi topped 100 rushing yards. Zionsville (IN)’s improved execution now faces a Top 10 public-school opponent, with its earlier Westfield (IN) loss showing how costly an uneven performance can become.
Avon (IN) (5–1) at #76 Westfield (IN) (5–1)
Friday, 7:00 PM ET · Westfield High School, Indiana
Westfield (IN) needs an offensive response after Brownsburg (IN) held it scoreless in the second half. Avon (IN) arrives after beating Fishers (IN) 36–26, with quarterback Declan Hines contributing three passing touchdowns and another on the ground. The Orioles have won twice since their own loss to Brownsburg (IN). Hines’ mobility gives Westfield (IN) a different containment task as it tries to keep one defeat from becoming a slide toward the Top 100 cut line.
